How many types of fertilizers belong to the group of chemical fertilizers (inorganic fertilizers)?

Recently, the Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development signed and promulgated Circular 09/2019/TT-BNNPTNT stipulating the National Technical Regulation on Fertilizer Quality.

National technical regulation on fertilizer quality issued together with Circular 09/2019/TT-BNNPTNT categorizes fertilizers belonging to the group of chemical fertilizers (also known as inorganic fertilizers) based on the composition, content, or function of nutrients in the fertilizer for crops into the following 05 types:

- Macronutrient fertilizer is fertilizer that contains at least 01 macronutrient and has the main quality criteria meeting the provisions of this Regulation;- Secondary nutrient fertilizer is fertilizer that contains at least 01 (for foliar fertilizers) or 02 (for root fertilizers) secondary nutrients, has the main quality criteria meeting the provisions of this Regulation, excluding limestone, gypsum, marlstone, dolomite in naturally mined form that has not been processed, manufactured into fertilizers;- Micronutrient fertilizer is fertilizer that contains at least 01 micronutrient and has the main quality criteria meeting the provisions of this Regulation;- Soil amendment inorganic fertilizer is fertilizer that improves the physical, chemical, and biological properties of the soil to create favorable conditions for crop growth and development, produced from inorganic or synthetic organic materials and has the main quality criteria meeting the provisions of this Regulation;- Multi-component chemical fertilizer (also known as multi-component inorganic fertilizer) is chemical fertilizer produced from inorganic or synthetic organic materials and mixed with one or more substances as natural organic matter, biological substances, or beneficial microorganisms and has the main quality criteria meeting the provisions of this Regulation;
