How is the Self-Assessment of Vocational Education Quality Conducted?

Circular 28/2017/TT-BLDTBXH has been issued by the Ministry of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs, stipulating the quality assurance system of vocational education institutions. The document takes effect from February 1, 2018.

the self-assessment is based on two criteria, specifically:

- Self-assessment of the quality of vocational education institutions: For colleges and intermediate schools, the lead unit is the responsible unit. For vocational education centers, the managing unit is the department with the function of training management;- Self-assessment of the quality of training programs: the unit responsible for implementing the training program or the lead unit conducts the self-assessment of the quality of the vocational education institution.

In addition, the content of the self-assessment is regulated by Circular 28 as follows:

- Develop a self-assessment quality plan for the head of the vocational education institution to approve;- Collect, analyze, and process information, provide evidence, and evaluate the level of achievement according to the criteria and standards for vocational education quality assurance and related guidelines of the Directorate General of Vocational Education;- Summarize and write a self-assessment quality report;- Obtain opinions from relevant units within the vocational education institution, summarize, and complete the report to be sent to the Self-Assessment Quality Council.
