Article 2 of Circular 19/2019/TT-BTTTT stipulates that the 694-806 MHz band for Vietnam's IMT mobile information systems is divided as follows:
In which:
- The 703-733 MHz band segment is designated as the uplink band, divided into 03 blocks: B1, B2, and B3, each with a width of 10 MHz.- The 758-788 MHz band segment is designated as the downlink band, divided into 03 blocks: B1’, B2’, and B3’, each with a width of 10 MHz.- Enterprises are considered for licensing a maximum of 01 block out of a total of 03 duplex blocks divided by frequency (FDD) which are B1-B1’, B2-B2’, B3-B3’, and are to be used as stipulated in the frequency band usage license.
- The 694-703 MHz band segment is designated as a guard band.
- The 733-758 MHz and 788-806 MHz band segments: Specialized radio systems currently temporarily operating in these band segments must have a frequency transition plan to free up the band, and such specialized radio systems are not to be newly deployed in these band segments.
- When using the 786-788 MHz band segment, to avoid causing harmful interference to the specialized radio systems currently temporarily operating in this band segment in certain areas, enterprises must ensure that the electric field strength does not exceed 42 dBμV/m/3MHz measured at a height of 10 meters from the ground; in case harmful interference occurs, enterprises must continue to implement solutions to eliminate the interference as guided by the Ministry of Information and Communications (Radio Frequency Department).
