Below is a notable content from Circular 51/2012/TT-BGDDT of the Ministry of Education and Training, which stipulates regulations on the organization and inspection activities of higher education institutions and professional secondary schools in Vietnam, issued on December 18, 2020.

To be specific, Article 11 of Circular 51/2012/TT-BGDDT stipulates policies for internal inspection officers at universities, academies, scientific research institutes authorized to offer doctoral training, universities, colleges, and vocational schools in Vietnam as follows:
- Heads (departments), Deputy Heads (departments) of inspection committees shall enjoy position allowances like other Heads (departments), Deputy Heads (departments) of the university.
- Specialized staff performing internal inspection duties at the university shall enjoy salaries, allowances, and other benefits like officials and public employees of the university; enjoy other preferential allowances according to the internal expenditure regulations of the university; be provided with opportunities for professional and inspection skills training and development; be equipped with necessary working facilities; and be given favorable conditions regarding time, physical facilities, and funding to complete inspection duties.
- Officials, public employees, and workers participating in the Internal Inspection Team shall enjoy policies as stipulated by the laws on educational inspection collaborators.
Internal inspection organizations are under the direct guidance of the Principal, superior inspection levels, and professional inspection guidance of the Inspectorate of the Ministry of Education and Training. The Inspectorate of the Ministry of Education and Training provides guidance, training on professional skills; inspects, and audits the implementation of regulations on internal inspection activities of higher education institutions, and vocational schools.
The University Inspection Committee guides, directs the implementation of academic year inspection duties, professional training; inspects, and audits the implementation of inspection plans and internal inspection activities of universities, colleges, and affiliated organizations, and units. The Inspectorate of the Department of Education and Training conducts professional training; inspects, and audits the implementation of inspection plans and internal inspection activities of colleges and vocational schools under the state management authority of the provincial People's Committee.
The internal inspection organization of the university is responsible for cooperating with the Executive Committee of the same level trade union in guiding the inspection professional work for the People's Inspectorate of the university in accordance with the laws.
