Hanoi-Vietnam: The highest basic salary of 70 million/month applied in economic groups during 2020

Decree 20/2020/ND-CP pilot of labor management, design of pay scale and payrolls; salaries and bonuses of employees and General Directors, Deputy General Directors, Chief Accountants; salaries, remunerations, bonuses of Members of the Boards of Members, Board of Directors, Head of the Control Boards, Controllers in 2020 at following economic groups and corporations:

1. Parent Company - Vietnam Post and Telecommunications Group.

2. Parent Company - Vietnam Airlines Corporation - JSC.

3. Parent Company - Vietnam Air Traffic Management Corporation.

The basic salary of Members of the Boards of Members, Board of Directors, Head of the Control Boards, and full-time Controllers at the above state-owned economic groups and corporations is stipulated as follows:

Thus, from April 1, 2020, the basic salary applied at some state-owned economic groups and corporations in Vietnam ranges from 70 million VND/month at the highest to 40 million VND/month at the lowest.

These types of companies are determined as follows:

- Type 1, applicable to companies with planned targets: equity of 10,000 billion VND or more; revenue of 30,000 billion VND or more and 10 management units (independently or dependently accounting subsidiaries) or total employees of 5,000 or more.

- Type 2, applicable to companies with planned targets: equity of less than 10,000 billion VND; revenue of less than 30,000 billion VND and less than 10 management units or total employees of less than 5,000.

Companies will determine the type of company and the basic salary of Members of the Boards of Members, Board of Directors, Head of the Control Boards, and full-time Controllers based on the planned targets.

Full regulations can be reviewed at Decree 20/2020/ND-CP effective from April 1, 2020.
