Hanoi-Vietnam: The deadlines for receipt of applications for recognition of emulation titles and commendation forms in the education sector

On July 31, 2020, the Vietnam Ministry of Education and Training issued Circular 21/2020/TT-BGDDT providing guidance on emulation and commendation work in the education sector, including regulations on the deadlines for receipt of applications for recognition of titles.

Article 8 of Circular 21/2020/TT-BGDDT stipulates the deadlines for receipt of applications for recognition of emulation titles and commendation forms in the education sector in Vietnam as follows:

- Applications for the recognition of emulation titles and commendation forms at the Ministry level must be sent to the Ministry of Education and Training before August 31 annually for units assessing emulation by the academic year and before January 31 annually for units assessing emulation by the working year.

- Applications for the recognition of emulation titles and commendation forms at the State level must be sent to the Ministry of Education and Training before October 15 annually for units assessing emulation by the academic year and before February 28 annually for units assessing emulation by the working year.

- Applications for thematic commendation: Immediately after a collective or individual achieves a notable accomplishment, the head of the unit is responsible for submitting to the Minister for consideration and decision on commendation, or for the Minister to submit to the competent authority for consideration and decision on commendation.
