Hanoi-Vietnam: Teaching staff and facilities required for the intermediate-level forestry sector (illustrative image)

Circular 40/2014/TT-BGDDT stipulates the conditions for implementing the training program for the intermediate-level forestry sector regarding the teaching staff, facilities, and equipment as follows:

1. Teaching staff for the program implementation

To deploy the training program with quality and effectiveness, the training institution needs to have a sufficient number of teaching staff in terms of quantity and quality.

- The teaching staff must meet the standards as prescribed by the Education Law and the current Charter of Intermediate Vocational Schools.

- The number of teachers must ensure that the student/teacher ratio complies with the regulation, in which the permanent teaching staff of the subjects must account for at least 70% of the teaching volume of the training program.

- Additionally, teachers participating in teaching must possess computer skills, foreign language proficiency, and practical experience in forestry to support teaching and research activities.

2. Facilities and equipment

To deploy the training program with quality and effectiveness, besides the common Facilities and equipment, and teaching aids used for various training sectors, the training institution must prepare the following practice and internship facilities:

- Wildlife practice room.

- Forest flora practice room.

- Surveying and mapping practice room.

- Soil and fertilizer practice room.

- Forest inventory and planning practice room.

- Silviculture practice room.

- Forest meteorology and hydrology practice area.

- Nursery practice and internship area.

- Sample tree garden or sample forest area.
