According to the regulations on the minimum required knowledge volume and competency requirements for graduates of intermediate and college-level medical imaging equipment engineering in Vietnam, issued with Circular 54/2018/TT-BLDTBXH, the minimum skills required for graduates of college-level medical imaging equipment engineering in Vietnam are as follows:
- Prepare the plan for periodic maintenance and repair of diagnostic imaging equipment;
- Install diagnostic imaging equipment according to technical requirements;
- Operate and use diagnostic imaging equipment following procedures;
- Perform routine and periodic maintenance on common diagnostic imaging equipment;
- Detect and repair common malfunctions of diagnostic imaging equipment;
- Repair devices that use advanced technology;
- Monitor, supervise, and participate in the repair process of diagnostic imaging equipment alongside engineers and technical experts;
- Create machine history logs and record the operational status of diagnostic imaging equipment;
- Propose solutions for occupational safety and environmental sanitation;
- Use basic information technology as prescribed; explore, process, and apply information technology in specialized professional work;
- Use basic foreign language skills, reaching level 2/6 in the Vietnamese Foreign Language Proficiency Framework; apply foreign language skills in professional work in the field.
