Hanoi-Vietnam: Regulations on transfer of training institutions during the master's degree training period

Recently, the Vietnam Ministry of Education and Training issued Circular 15/2014/TT-BGDĐT on the Regulation on Master's Degree Training.

The Regulation on Master's Degree Training promulgated together with Circular 15/2014/TT-BGDDT specifies the transfer of training institutions during the master's degree training period as follows:

- During the training period, trainees are allowed to transfer training institutions if they transfer their residence to another province, have a certificate from the local authority, or trainees are recruited or assigned to work in another province according to the decision of the competent authority, unable to continue studying at the current training institution, except as regulated that trainees are not allowed to transfer training institutions when studying in the final semester of the course or during disciplinary action from a warning or higher;

- Conditions for transferring training institutions: the receiving training institution is conducting the correct field and specialization of the trainee; the trainee's wish to transfer training institutions must be approved by the head of the old training institution and the head of the receiving training institution;

- Trainees are not allowed to transfer training institutions when studying in the final semester of the course or during disciplinary action from a warning or higher;

- The head of the training institution specifies the records and procedures for transferring out and transferring in; the procedure for recognizing a part or all of the courses that the trainee has taken, deciding the additional courses to be studied based on a comparison of the programs of the two training institutions.
