Hanoi-Vietnam: Reduction of the fees for processing of applications for food export certificate

The Vietnam Ministry of Finance has recently issued Circular 44/2018/TT-BTC providing amendments to Circular 286/2016/TT-BTC on fees for inspection of food safety and quality in the agricultural sector, and collection, transfer, management and use thereof.

Circular 44 amends and supplements points 1, 2, and 3 of Part I of the Schedule of fees for inspection of food safety and quality in Vietnam as follows:

2	Fees for processing of applications for certificate of food safety knowledge in agricultural, forestry and aquaculture sectors	VND 30,000/ application/ person
3	Fees for inspection of conditional business activities in agricultural, forestry and aquaculture sectors
a	Inspection of the satisfaction of eligibility requirements for grant of certificate of food safety to producer of agricultural/ forest/ aquatic food products
	- Processed by a local inspecting authority	VND 700,000/ establishment
	- Processed by a central-level inspecting authority	VND 2,000,000/ establishment
b	Periodical inspection of the maintenance of food safety conditions	VND 350,000/ establishment

Circular 44/2018/TT-BTC takes effect from June 22, 2018.
