Recently, the Vietnam Ministry of Labor, Invalids, and Social Affairs issued Circular 44/2018/TT-BLDTBXH, which stipulates the minimum knowledge volume and competency requirements for graduates from the intermediate and college programs in the field of computers and information technology.

Circular 44/2018/TT-BLDDTBXH provides general regulations on College and intermediate programs in Web Design in Vietnam as follows:
- College-level web design is the industry and profession of constructing and developing web applications (websites) that operate on the internet and intranet platforms, meeting level 5 requirements in the Vietnamese National Qualifications Framework.
- Intermediate-level web design is the industry and profession of constructing and developing web applications (websites) that operate on the internet and intranet platforms, meeting level 4 requirements in the Vietnamese National Qualifications Framework.
- The industry and profession of Web design involves tasks such as Web graphic design, Web interface design, Web interface programming, Web application development, Web application testing, and Website administration:
Note:
- The minimum knowledge volume for the college programs is 2,500 hours (equivalent to 90 credits);
- The minimum knowledge volume for intermediate programs is 1,700 hours (equivalent to 60 credits).
