Under the Regulations on minimum knowledge volume and competency requirements for graduates of the college or intermediate-level ship engine repair issued together with Circular 47/2018/TT-BLDTBXH, after graduating from intermediate-level ship engine repair in Vietnam, learners are qualified to meet the requirements for the following job positions:

- Ship engine repair;

- Ship engine assembly;

- Repair and assembly of power transmission systems;

- Repair and assembly of ship electrical systems;

- Repair and assembly of auxiliary equipment on ships.

Additionally, the capability for further study and improving learners' qualifications is specifically defined as follows:

- The minimum knowledge volume and competency requirements for graduates of intermediate-level ship engine repair can continue to be developed at higher qualifications;

- Graduates have the capacity for self-study, and self-update of scientific and technological advances within the scope of the occupation to improve their level or pursue advanced training within the same occupation or in the related occupational group or field of study.
