Hanoi-Vietnam: Disciplinary measures taken against trainees at compulsory rehabilitation centers

Recently, the Vietnam Minister of Labor - Invalids and Social Affairs issued Circular 14/2014/TT-BLDTBXH promulgating forms used for the preparation of applications, execution of decisions on taking administrative handling measures in compulsory rehabilitation centers and providing guidelines on the formulation of rules and regulations for the trainees at compulsory rehabilitation centers.

According to Circular 14/2014/TT-BLĐTBXH, trainees who violate the regulations of compulsory rehabilitation centers in Vietnam shall face one of the following disciplinary measures:

- Reprimand: Taken against trainees who commit the violation of the regulations of the compulsory rehabilitation center and have been reminded twice a month by the management officer.

- Warning: Taken against trainees who have been reprimanded but continue to commit the violation of the regulations of the compulsory rehabilitation center within the next 03 months from the time of reprimand but not to the extent of education in the disciplinary room;

- Education in the disciplinary room: Taken against trainees who commit severe violations such as harming others' health, disturbing order at the compulsory rehabilitation center, resisting law enforcement officers, escaping or organizing an escape from the compulsory rehabilitation center. The maximum duration of education in the disciplinary room is 05 days per decision.
