Hanoi-Vietnam: Criteria for awarding diploma of merit of the Minister of Education and Training of Vietnam to individuals (Illustrative Image)

According to Circular 21/2020/TT-BGDDT, the diploma of merit of the Minister of Education and Training of Vietnam is awarded to individuals with good moral character who exemplary adhere to the guidelines of the Communist Party of Vietnam, and the policies and laws of the State, meeting one of the following criteria:

- Having exemplary, outstanding achievements and being considered and selected during the implementation of the emulation movement launched by the Minister of Education and Training;

- For individuals working in units under the Ministry's bodies, affiliated units, and the national universities: Having been continuously rated as excellently completing tasks for 02 years with 02 grassroots-level innovations that were recognized, or excellently completing assigned tasks in the 05 years before retirement according to social insurance benefits without having received the Minister of Education and Training's diploma of merit;

- Achieving many accomplishments has an impact in one of the areas under the state management scope of the Ministry of Education and Training, or performing noble deeds, courageous actions to save people or property of the people or the State; preventing, overcoming disaster, epidemic consequences; fighting against negative behaviors, law violations, and social evils, setting an example recognized and honored by the unit and locality;

- Having outstanding achievements in studying, training, and entrepreneurship; having innovations and solutions in scientific research; overcoming difficulties to excel in learning; effectively participating in volunteer and charitable activities for the community as confirmed by the direct management agency;

- Providing many practical, effective contributions and support to the education sector, confirmed by the direct management agency and benefiting unit;

- Serving for 05 years or more; having excellent achievements, contributing to the development of the unit recognized on the occasion of the full anniversary celebration.
