Hanoi-Vietnam: Criteria for assessing the accuracy of measurement by the Global Navigation Satellite System?

The Vietnam Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment issued Circular 08/2017/TT-BTNMT on the measurement process of remote sensing image control. The legislative document takes effect from July 24, 2017.

Circular 08 has set up the criteria for assessing the accuracy of measurement by GNSS (Global Navigation Satellite System)  technology for remote sensing image control in Vietnam  as follows:

No. Assessment criteria for accuracy Technical specifications
1 Measurement method Static measurement
2 Use of a receiver with an absolute value to measure the edge
(D: distance measured in km)
10mm+2.10-6D
3 Number of usable observational satellites ≥ 4
4 Maximum PDOP ≤ 4
5 Minimum satellite elevation angle (°) ≥ 15
6 Simultaneous observation time ≥ 60 minutes
7 Maximum distance from a control point to the nearest high-order point ≤ 30 km
8 Number of independent edges at a point ≥ 2
9 Position error of remote sensing control points after adjustment relative to the nearest state coordinate origin point ≤ 0.2 pixel

More regulations on the submission of measurement results may be found in Circular 08/2017/TT-BTNMT.
