On November 29, 2018, Vietnam Social Security issued Official Dispatch 4996/BHXH-CSYT to the provincial Social Security regarding the implementation of certain provisions stipulated in Decree 146/2018/ND-CP.
This Official Dispatch provides guidance on the issuance and conversion of benefit codes on health insurance cards and supplements the beneficiary codes and benefit level codes for new beneficiaries participating in health insurance as stipulated in Decree 146/2018/ND-CP. Detailed changes in beneficiary codes and benefit level codes of health insurance in Vietnam from December 1, 2018 are specifically outlined in the Comparison Table below.
