On August 26, 2016, the Vietnam Ministry of Finance promulgated Circular 133/2016/TT-BTC guiding the accounting regime for small and medium-sized enterprises.

Small and medium-sized enterprises in Vietnam shall follow the accounting regime issued together with Circular 133 and the relevant Vietnamese Accounting Standards, EXCEPT FOR the following 07 Vietnamese Accounting Standards:
