Circular 17/2015/TT-NHNN stipulates the banking code system used in banking operations and transactions issued by the Governor of the State Bank of Vietnam on October 21, 2015.

Circular 17/2015/TT-NHNN regulates that for the State Treasury at all levels, when there are changes to banking information prescribed in Clause 1, Article 8 of this Circular, within 10 working days from the date the banking information is changed, the State Treasury shall compile 01 set of application for modification of the banking information and send it to the Information Technology Department via the network. The application includes:
- A written request for modification of the banking information according to Appendix 03;
- A copy of the approval document for the information change from the competent authority for the information specified in Points a, b, d, and dd, Clause 1, Article 8.
Within 03 working days from the date of receipt of a valid request application, the Information Technology Administration shall modify the banking information and notify the result via the network to the applicant. In case of refusal to modify the banking information, the Information Technology Department shall inform the applicant via the network and clearly state the reason.
The Information Technology Administration shall proactively review and modify the banking information for other organizations assigned a banking code according to Clauses 6 and 8, Article 9 of this Circular, and notify the relevant units.
