Guidelines on Establishing Protection Corridors for Surveying Infrastructure Works

the Government of Vietnam recently signed and promulgated Decree 27/2019/ND-CP detailing certain provisions of the Law on Surveying and Mapping.

According to Decree 27/2019/ND-CP, depending on the type of surveying infrastructure works, there will be different regulations on the protection corridor for the works, specifically:

- For surveying benchmarks in the national coordinate network, specialized base coordinate network, the protection corridor has a radius of 50 meters from the center of the benchmark;- For surveying benchmarks in the national elevation network, specialized base elevation network, the protection corridor has a radius of 20 meters from the center of the benchmark;- For surveying benchmarks in the national gravity network, specialized base gravity network, the protection corridor has a radius of 10 meters from the center of the benchmark;- For satellite positioning stations, the protection corridor has a radius of 50 meters from the center of the satellite signal receiving antenna;- For remote sensing data receiving stations, the protection corridor is stipulated in the Decree on remote sensing activities.

Refer to the related regulations in Decree 27/2019/ND-CP which took effect from May 1, 2019.
