This is the notable content stipulated in Circular 49/2018/TT-BYT guiding laboratory activities in medical examination and treatment.
According to Circular 49/2018/TT-BYT, during the process of conducting tests, the collection and reception of samples are carried out as follows:
- The collection and reception of patient samples must be based on the test request form;- The collection and reception of samples are conducted at clinical departments, examination departments, testing departments, or at the patient's place of residence. In case the patient is in emergency care, primary care level 1, or as directed by a doctor, sample collection is conducted at the patient's bedside;- Nurses, technicians perform the collection and reception of samples; certain special tests are conducted by a doctor for sample collection;- Medical equipment serving the collection, preservation, and transportation of samples must be fully supplied and meet the required standards;- Manage the preparation of instruments, cooperate with examination departments and clinical departments to inspect and supervise the collection and reception of samples in accordance with the professional guidelines of the Minister of Health;- Assign personnel to receive and inspect samples to ensure they meet the requirements regarding quantity, quality, preservation, time, transportation conditions, and storage of the samples.
