Guidelines for the Collection and Transportation of Construction Solid Waste

This is the content stipulated in Circular 08/2017/TT-BTP issued by the Ministry of Justice on May 16, 2017, regulating the management of construction solid waste.

Circular 08 stipulates that construction solid waste (CSW) must be collected, transported to designated gathering points, transfer stations, and treatment facilities that have been invested and constructed according to the construction plan approved by the competent authority, or to recycling facilities, other projects for recycling, and reuse.

Transport must comply with the prescribed time, route schedule, traffic safety, and adhere to the regulations of the competent authorities regarding local traffic direction.

The vehicles used for transporting CSW must meet technical and safety standards, have been inspected, and authorized for circulation by the competent authorities as per the regulations.

During transportation, the vehicles must ensure that there is no leakage or spillage of waste, which could cause the dispersion of dust and odors.

Note that if the waste source owner transports the CSW themselves, they must comply with the above regulations.

See more details in Circular 08/2017/TT-BXD effective from July 1, 2017.
