The registration and retention of results from science and technology tasks that do not utilize state budget funds (NSNN) are guided in Decree 11/2014/ND-CP as follows:

- Results from science and technology tasks that do not utilize state budget funds are encouraged to be registered and retained at competent authorities as regulated in Clause 3, Article 7 of Decree 11, after there is a document verifying the results from a competent state management agency in science and technology.- Results from science and technology tasks as regulated above will be issued a certificate of registration of the results of science and technology tasks and entered into the National Database on Science and Technology.
