On the occasion of the 71st anniversary of Vietnamese War Invalids and Martyrs' Day (July 27, 1947 - July 27, 2018), There are some regulations regarding the gifting of presents to individuals who have contributed to the revolution.
Gift Level 400,000 VND | (1) Heroic Vietnamese Mothers currently receiving monthly preferential allowances and individuals who have been awarded the title of Heroic Vietnamese Mothers before July 28, 2018, but have not yet completed procedures for receiving monthly preferential allowances; (2) War invalids, individuals entitled to the same policies as war invalids, type B war invalids, and sick soldiers with work capacity reduction from 81% or more, currently receiving monthly preferential allowances; (3) Individuals active in the resistance who have been exposed to chemical toxins leading to a work capacity reduction from 81% or more, currently receiving monthly preferential allowances; (4) Relatives of martyrs currently receiving monthly maintenance allowances; relatives of two or more martyrs currently receiving monthly death gratuities. |
Gift Level 200,000 VND | (5) War invalids, individuals entitled to the same policies as war invalids, type B war invalids, and sick soldiers with work capacity reduction from 80% or less, currently receiving monthly preferential allowances; war invalids currently receiving labor loss policies; (6) Individuals active in the resistance exposed to chemical toxins leading to a work capacity reduction from 80% or less, currently receiving monthly preferential allowances; (7) Representatives of martyrs’ relatives; (8) Individuals worshipping martyrs (in cases where the martyr has no surviving relatives). |
Beneficiaries (1), (2), (3), (4), (5), (6): Each person receives only one gift from the President. In cases where one individual qualifies as two or more eligible beneficiaries for both gift levels, they shall receive one gift at the highest level; if qualifying for the same gift level, they shall receive one gift at that level;
Beneficiaries (7):
- The representative of the martyrs' relatives is the sole eligible person among all surviving relatives to receive one gift. In cases where the representative of the martyrs' relatives simultaneously qualifies as a beneficiary (1), (2), (3), (4), (5), and (6), another surviving relative of the martyr shall be designated to receive one gift for the representative of the martyrs' relatives;
- In cases where the martyrs' relative has only one surviving relative, who also qualifies as beneficiary (1), (2), (3), (5), and (6), that person shall receive an additional gift as the representative of the martyrs' relatives.
- In cases where the martyrs' relatives include one or more surviving members qualifying as beneficiaries (1), (2), (3), (5), and (6), one person should be designated to receive one gift for the representative of the martyrs' relatives.
Beneficiaries (8): If a martyr has no surviving relatives, the individual worshipping the martyr is entitled to a gift from the President. Each martyr entitles the individual worshipping them to one gift.
