Guidance on the modification and addition to advertisement and introduction contents for cosmetics in Vietnam (Illustration image)

In Article 30 of Circular 06/2011/TT-BYT providing guidance on the implementation of changes and supplements to the content of advertising in Vietnam, organizing seminars, and events to introduce cosmetics in Vietnam as follows:

1. Units registering for advertising, organizing seminars, or events to introduce cosmetics must submit additional registration dossiers to the Department of Health where the dossier receipt slip was issued when there are changes to any of the following contents:

- Name, address of the organization or individual responsible for bringing the product to the market without changing the Business Registration Certificate number or Investment Certificate number;

- Name, address of the unit registering for advertising, organizing seminars, or events to introduce cosmetics without changing the Business Registration Certificate number or Investment Certificate number;

- Official venue and time for organizing seminars or events to introduce cosmetics compared to the initially registered plans.

2. The supplement dossier includes: A written request for changes and supplements and documents related to the changes and supplements.

3. Other changes and supplements beyond the contents mentioned in Clause 1 of this Article require the advertising registration unit, seminar organization, or cosmetics introduction event to proceed with new registration according to regulations in Vietnam.

4. The Department of Health is responsible for resolving the supplement dossier within 10 working days from the date of receiving the complete and valid dossier.

More details can be found in Circular 06/2011/TT-BYT, which comes into force in Vietnam from April 1, 2011.
