Guidance on Preservation and Arrangement of Light Rafts in Warehouse

On January 10, 2017, the Ministry of Finance issued Circular 03/2017/TT-BTC on the national technical standards for national reserve light lifespan boats.

The planning and arrangement of light rafts in the warehouse must comply with the following regulations:

- Light rafts must be stored in a separate warehouse. If utilizing a large warehouse, it must be divided into separate areas for the storage of each type of goods;

- Light rafts are arranged in lots on racks, separated by category and time of entry. To be specific:

- The bottom tier of the rack must be at least 0.3 meters above the warehouse floor;- The top of the light raft lot must be at least 2 meters below the warehouse ceiling;- The racks must have 3 tiers made of metal to ensure stability and convenience in storage;- The tiers of the rack must be at least 1100 mm apart to accommodate one light raft inclined, or stacked on top of each other, but no more than 4 layers of light rafts;- The racks must be at least 0.5 meters away from the wall and warehouse columns. There must be a minimum distance of 1.5 meters between two rows of racks or lots to create a reasonable walkway in the warehouse;

- Light rafts must be arranged neatly, securely, easily observable, and easy to count;

- A diagram of the goods' positions in the warehouse must be available to facilitate observation, tracking, and inspection of the goods.
