This is the notable content stipulated in Circular 49/2016/TT-BYT regulating the organization and activities of emergency response to traffic accidents on expressways.
According to Circular 49/2016/TT-BYT, emergency response activities for traffic accidents on expressways include the following contents:
- The Department of Health of the province or central city where the expressway passes through shall create a list of medical examination and treatment facilities that meet the conditions for providing emergency response to traffic accidents and send it to the Traffic Operations Center and the medical examination and treatment facilities for coordination and implementation of traffic accident emergency response.- In the event of a traffic accident, the Traffic Operations Center shall immediately inform the selected medical examination and treatment facility from the list, providing the name, age, address, and a brief description of the condition of the traffic accident victim.- The Traffic Operations Center shall immediately hand over the traffic accident victim at the scene of the accident on the expressway.- The medical examination and treatment facility shall provide first aid and emergency response to the traffic accident victim according to the Emergency, Intensive Care, and Anti-Poison Regulation issued together with Decision 01/2008/QD-BYT.- The medical examination and treatment facility shall immediately transfer the patient to appropriate medical facilities if the situation exceeds their professional capacity after providing first aid and emergency response.
