Guidance on Establishing the List of Residential Place Names in Vinh Long Province

Circular 19 stipulates the list of residential, topographical, hydrological, socio-economic place names serving the task of mapping Vinh Long province, arranged in alphabetical order of the Vietnamese alphabet for each geographic group, including: residential, socio-economic, hydrological, topographical; commune-level administrative units, including: commune-level town, commune; district-level administrative units, including: city, district-level town and districts.

In which:

- The "Place Name" column refers to standardized place names;- The "Group of Objects" column denotes the symbols of different place name groups, in which: DC is the residential place name group; SV is the topographical place name group; TV is the hydrological place name group; KX is the socio-economic place name group;- The "Commune-level Administrative Unit Name" column refers to the names of commune-level administrative units, in which: “P.” is the abbreviation for “ward”; “TT.” is the abbreviation for “commune-level town”;- The "District-level Administrative Unit Name" column refers to the names of district-level administrative units, in which: “TP.” is the abbreviation for “city”; “H.” is the abbreviation for “district”; “TX.” is the abbreviation for “district-level town”;- The "Relative Position Coordinates of the Object" column refers to the relative position coordinates of the geographic object corresponding to the place name in the "Place Name" column; if the geographic object is represented on the map by a point or area symbol, the corresponding coordinate value is in the "Center Coordinate" column; if the geographic object is represented on the map by a line symbol, the corresponding coordinate value is in the two columns "Starting Coordinate" and "Ending Coordinate";- The "Topographical Map Sheet Number" column indicates the symbol of the 1:25,000 scale topographical map sheet containing the standardized place name in the "Place Name" column.
