Goals for developing and promoting the role of the Vietnamese entrepreneurs in the new period (Internet image)
Recently, the Government issued Resolution 66/NQ-CP on the implementation of Resolution 41-NQ/TW dated October 10, 2023, by the Politburo on developing and promoting the role of the Vietnamese entrepreneurs in the new period.
The goals set for the government's action program in implementing Resolution 41-NQ/TW dated October 10, 2023, by the Politburo on building and promoting the role of the Vietnamese entrepreneurs in the new period are divided into two phases: from now until 2030 and until 2045.
* Phase from now until 2030:
- There should be at least 2 million enterprises, including the formation and development of many business leaders of strong economic groups, with competitiveness in the domestic and international markets, playing a leading role in important sectors of the economy.
- The business sector should contribute about 65-70% of the country's GDP, about 32-38% of total employment in the economy, and 98-99% of total import-export turnover. The proportion of businesses participating in import-export activities among the total number of businesses should reach about 10%.
- About 65-70% of business owners should have a university degree or higher.
- About 20-25% of businesses should be owned by women, and 30-35% of businesses should have female directors or CEOs.
- There should be at least 70 companies with a market capitalization of over 1 billion USD, 120 companies with net revenue exceeding 1 billion USD, and 100 companies with pre-tax profits exceeding 100 million USD.
- The number of businesses ranked among the highest brand value companies by reputable rating organizations in the world should increase by 10% each year.
- At least 10 Vietnamese entrepreneurs should be listed on the world's billionaires list, and 05 entrepreneurs should be voted as the most powerful in Asia by reputable global organizations.
* By 2045, the following goals should be achieved:
- Some entrepreneurs should lead industrial and agricultural value chains, contributing to the formation of Vietnam's value chains in priority sectors and the country's strengths.
- The Vietnamese entrepreneurs should be developed with scale, capacity, and qualifications to meet the national development goals, high income, and have prestige and influence in the region and internationally.
- Enhancing awareness of the position and role of the entrepreneurs in achieving the country's development goals.
- Improving policies and laws, creating a favorable and equal investment and business environment for the development and dedication of entrepreneurs and businesses.
- Developing a strong and competent entrepreneurs that matches the country's development goals and tasks in the new period.
- Building business ethics and culture, promoting the national spirit, and arousing the aspirations for the prosperous and happy development of the country.
- Strengthening unity, cooperation, and linkage between entrepreneurs, workers, farmers, and intellectuals.
- Promoting the role of the Vietnam Chamber of Commerce and Industry, the Vietnam Small and Medium Enterprises Association, and representative organizations of the entrepreneurs.
- Enhancing the leadership of the Party and the management of the State in building and promoting the role of the entrepreneurs.
It can be seen that in the near future, the role of the Vietnamese entrepreneurs in the new period will undergo changes to achieve the goals set by the program.
