December 23, 2019, the Ministry of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs of Vietnam issued Circular 21/2019/TT-BLDTBXH promulgating regulations on the minimum volume of knowledge and competency requirements that learners must achieve upon graduation from intermediate-level and college-level programs for professions in the fields of computers, information technology, and technical technology.
General Introduction to the intermediate-level program of communication and computer networks in Vietnam (illustrative image)
As per the regulations issued with Circular 21/2019/TT-BLDTBXH, the field of communication and computer networks at the intermediate level is a profession that involves designing, constructing, operating entire computer systems and networks, managing, and coordinating other activities related to computer networks in Vietnam. Simultaneously, communication and computer networks also provide learners with advanced skills in developing network communication applications that meet Level 4 requirements in the Vietnam National Qualification Framework.
Professionals in Communication and Computer Networks possess theoretical knowledge and practical skills in information technology in the fields of computer networks and communication. They can work at agencies, companies providing solutions, computer hardware technology, installation, repair, and maintenance of computer network systems; IT or non-IT enterprises in business analysis, network system design, monitoring devices, network system installation; as network administrators for organizations; exploiting and installing Internet network services, diagnosing, monitoring, tracking, and resolving computer network issues, maintaining, upgrading the network system; programming networks and smart devices, designing and administering websites. They can apply communication knowledge to execute social communication and social networking, integrated marketing communication (IMC), designing and integrating multimedia products into journalism, and building an effective multimedia channel.
Minimum knowledge volume: 1400 hours equivalent to 53 credits.
