General Department of Customs of Vietnam: To require full disclosure of administrative procedures (Internet image)

On October 17, 2022, the General Department of Customs of Vietnam issued Official Dispatch 4345/TCHQ-GSQL on publicizing administrative procedures.

According to current regulations, 54 administrative procedures have been announced, including: 04 newly issued administrative procedures; 28 amended administrative procedures; and 22 annulled administrative procedures.

Pursuant to the provisions of Decree 63/2010/ND-CP as amended by Decree 48/2013/ND-CP and Decree 92/2017/ND-CP, the General Department of Customs requires units to implement the following procedures: the following content:

Fully publicize the contents of the published administrative procedures in Vietnam

Specifically, the General Department of Customs requires the Customs Departments of provinces and cities to perform the following activities:

- To fully publicize the contents of administrative procedures announced in Decision 2065/QD-BTC dated October 6, 2022 at the units under their management according to the prescribed forms and methods in Article 9, Article 10 of the Regulation on control of administrative procedures in the field of customs promulgated together with Decision 1944/QD-TCHQ dated June 30, 2014 of the General Director of Customs.

- Direct the settlement of administrative procedures in accordance with the provisions of legal documents, professional processes of the industry and Decision 2065/QD-BTC mentioned above.

- Guide organizations and enterprises to carry out administrative procedures as prescribed.

Timely update of published administrative procedures in Vietnam

The Customs Management Supervision and Administration Department and the Import-Export Tax Department of Vietnam shall carry out the following:

- Coordinate with the General Department Office to promptly update administrative procedures published in Decision 2065/QD-BTC;

- Coordinate with the General Department's Office and related units to control the implementation of administrative procedures in accordance with the provisions of legal documents, the industry's professional processes, and Decision 2065/QD-BTC lead above.

- Timely adjust administrative procedures when there are changes in relevant legal documents.

In addition, the General Department's Office will list the paper documents at the headquarters of the General Department of Customs; the Customs Statistics and Information Technology Department of Vietnam shall publicize the procedures at the Portal of the General Department of Customs on administrative procedures published in Decision 671/QD-BTC mentioned above.
