Funding levels for supporting the Drug Addiction Rehabilitation Task Force

Last year, the Ministry of Finance issued Circular 117/2017/TT-BTC stipulating the management and use of funds for the implementation of policies applying measures for compulsory admission to rehabilitation centers and organizing compulsory drug detoxification in the community.

According to the provisions in Circular 117, the Drug Addiction Treatment Task Force will receive support for the following expenses:

- Expenses for holding verification meetings, reviewing the dossiers for compulsory drug addiction treatment in the community:- Attending members: 50,000 VND/person/session;- Expenses for refreshments for attendees: The amount shall comply with the provisions in Circular 40/2017/TT-BTC.- Expenses for management support: Office stationery, printing of dossiers, purchase of books, equipment for monitoring, statistics, making lists, and managing the dossiers of drug addicts;- Expenses for supporting staff involved in the treatment, management, and protection of drug addicts: 50,000 VND/person/day;- Expenses for supporting officers assigned to provide psychological and social counseling for drug addicts:- 50,000 VND/drug addict/counseling session;- 70,000 VND/group of drug addicts (two or more people)/counseling session.- Expenses for supporting officers in monitoring and managing individuals undergoing drug addiction treatment in the community: The maximum support amount is 350,000 VND/person/month.
