On November 29, 2017, the Ministry of Information and Communications issued Circular 36/2017/TT-BTTTT specifying detailed regulations on the funding for the attire of information inspection officials.

Circular 36 stipulates that the budget for sewing and equipping uniforms for specialized inspectors under any Department shall be ensured by the state budget allocated to that Department.

Annually, the Departments, based on the subjects eligible for specialized inspection uniforms, the number and types of inspection uniforms according to the time limit as prescribed, prepare estimates for the cost of sewing and equipping uniforms to consolidate into the general budget estimates of the Departments and send them to the Planning and Finance Department for consolidation into the Ministry's budget estimates for submission to the competent authorities for approval and allocation of funds for the sewing and equipping of specialized inspection uniforms.

Additionally, Circular 36 stipulates that the cost of making inspection official cards shall be managed and executed by the Ministry's Office.

The cost of sewing and equipping specialized inspection uniforms and making inspection official cards is allocated in the expenditure estimates and does not implement the self-governance policies of various units.
