Vietnam Social Security has just issued Decision 166/QD-BHXH on the procedures for resolving social insurance benefits and the payment of social insurance and unemployment insurance policies.
Complete procedure for resolving social insurance policies
This Decision addresses the procedure and dossier for resolving social insurance benefits, including:
- Procedure for resolving and paying benefits for sickness, maternity, convalescence, and health recovery;
- Procedure for resolving and paying benefits for occupational accidents, occupational diseases, retirement, and survivors' benefits;
- Procedure for paying unemployment insurance.
Additionally, one of the new points in Decision 166/QD-BHXH is that the social insurance agency abolishes the requirement to have a social insurance book; documents for initial examination and treatment in cases of outpatient treatment; removes the conditions requiring on-site inspection records, site diagrams for cases of traffic accidents identified as occupational accidents; and traffic accident reports from the police or military criminal investigation agencies in the first-time resolution of benefits for occupational accidents and occupational diseases of workers.
Decision 166/QD-BHXH takes effect from May 1, 2019, and replaces Decision 828/QD-BHXH, Decision 1515/QD-BHXH, and abolishes Official Dispatch 4644/BHXH-CSXH and Official Dispatch 3647/BHXH-CSXH.
