Regarding this matter, LawNet provides the following clarification:

According to Official Dispatch 7938/BCT-TTTN dated December 12, 2022, of the Ministry of Industry and Trade of Vietnam on the management of petrol and oil business, from 15:00 on December 12, 2022, the petrol price continues to decrease by over 1,500 VND/liter.

1. Prices of petrol and oil products from 15:00 on December 12, 2022

To be specific, after adjusting the levels of deduction and expenditure of the Petrol and Oil Price Stabilization Fund, the retail prices of commonly used petrol and oil products in the market after 15:00 on December 12, 2022, are adjusted as follows:

- E5RON92 petrol: Not higher than 20,346 VND/liter (decreased by 1,333 VND/liter compared to the current retail price);

- RON95-III petrol: Not higher than 21,200 VND/liter (decreased by 1,504 VND/liter compared to the current retail price);

- Diesel oil 0.05S: Not higher than 21,670 VND/liter (decreased by 1,543 VND/liter compared to the current retail price);

- Kerosene: Not higher than 21,901 VND/liter (decreased by 1,661 VND/liter compared to the current retail price);

- Fuel oil 180CST 3.5S: Not higher than 13,016 VND/kg (decreased by 937 VND/kg compared to the current retail price).

2. Deduction for the Petrol and Oil Price Stabilization Fund in Vietnam

The Ministry of Industry and Trade of Vietnam decides the deduction levels for the Petrol and Oil Price Stabilization Fund in Vietnam as follows:

- E5RON92 petrol: 300 VND/liter;

- RON95 petrol: 400 VND/liter;

- Diesel oil: 800 VND/liter;

- Kerosene: 500 VND/liter;

- Fuel oil: 500 VND/kg.

At the same time, there will be no expenditure from the Petrol and Oil Price Stabilization Fund.
