Regarding this issue, LawNet would like to answer as follows:

According to Official Dispatch 8243/BCT-TTTN dated December 21, 2022 of the Ministry of Industry and Trade of Vietnam on the management of the petrol and oil businesses, from 3 p.m. on December 21, 2022, gasoline prices continued to decrease by nearly 500 VND/liter.

1. Prices of gasoline and oil products from 15:00 on December 21, 2022 in Vietnam

Specifically, after adjusting the setting up and spending levels for the use of the Petroleum Price Stabilization Fund, the selling prices of popular consumer petroleum products on the market after 3 p.m. on December 21, 2022, are adjusted as follows:

- E5RON92 gasoline: Not higher than 19,975 VND/liter (decreased by 371 VND/liter compared to the current retail price);

- RON95-III gasoline: Not higher than 20,707 VND/liter (decreased by 493 VND/liter compared to the current retail price);

- Diesel oil 0.05S: Not higher than 21,601 VND/liter (decreased by 69 VND/liter compared to the current retail price);

- Kerosene: Not higher than 21,836 VND/liter (decreased by 65 VND/liter compared to the current retail price);

- Fuel oil 180CST 3.5S: Not higher than 12,863 VND/kg (decreased by  153 VND/kg compared to current retail price).

2. Deduction for setting up gasoline and oil price stabilization fund in Vietnam

The Ministry of Industry and Trade of Vietnam decided to set up the Petroleum Price Stabilization Fund:

- E5RON92 gasoline: 300 VND/liter;

- RON95 gasoline: 400 VND/liter;

- Diesel oil: 800 VND/liter;

- Kerosene: 500 VND/liter;

- Madut oil: 500 VND/kg.

At the same time, the Petroleum Price Stabilization Fund does not apply.
