According to Decree 77/2024/ND-CP, the standard allowance for people with meritorious services to the revolution has officially increased, and the detailed benefit levels will be applied from July 1, 2024.

On 01/7/2024, the Government of Vietnam promulgated Decree 77/2024/ND-CP amending and supplementing several articles of Decree 75/2021/ND-CP on the allowances, subsidies, and preferential regimes for people with meritorious services to the revolution, which were amended and supplemented by Decree 55/2023/ND-CP.
According to Decree 77/2024/ND-CP, amending several regulations of Decree 75/2021/ND-CP (amended by Decree 55/2023/ND-CP), specifically
- Amending Clause 1 of Article 3 of Decree 75/2021/ND-CP, which was amended and supplemented in Clause 2 of Article 1 of Decree 55/2023/ND-CP as follows:
The standard preferential allowance for people with meritorious services to the revolution is 2,789,000 VND.
- Amending Clause 2 of Article 6 of Decree 75/2021/ND-CP as follows:
Centralized health rehabilitation: The rate is 1.8 times the base amount/person/time. The expenses include:
+ Meals during the rehabilitation period;
+ Essential medicines;
+ Gifts for the individual;
+ Sightseeing trips;
+ Other expenses directly serving the individual during the rehabilitation period (maximum 10% of the rehabilitation expenses), consisting of: towels, soap, brushes, toothpaste, photo sessions, health counseling, functional rehabilitation, books, cultural and sports activities, and other expenses for the individual during rehabilitation.
Thus, according to the above regulations, the standard preferential allowance for people with meritorious services to the revolution will increase from 2,055,000 VND to 2,789,000 VND.
Additionally, Decree 77/2024/ND-CP will replace Appendix I, Appendix II, Appendix III issued with Decree 55/2023/ND-CP which amended and supplemented several articles of Decree 75/2021/ND-CP dated 24/7/2021 of the Government of Vietnam, with the Appendix I, Appendix II, Appendix III issued with Decree 77/2024/ND-CP.
