The Ministry of Health promulgated Circular 41/2018/TT-BYT on December 14, 2018, specifically regulating the frequency of periodic testing for clean water quality parameters.
Circular 41 stipulates that periodic testing must be conducted as follows:
- Frequency of testing for clean water quality parameters in group A: at least once per month.- Frequency of testing for clean water quality parameters in group B: at least once per six months.- Depending on the actual situation of the locality, the Provincial People's Committee or the City directly under the Central Government may stipulate a testing frequency higher than the frequency specified in Points a and b of this Clause.
Additionally, Circular 41 stipulates that the water supply unit must conduct comprehensive tests on all clean water quality parameters in groups A and B in the List of clean water quality parameters in the following cases:
- Before initial operation.- After major upgrades or repairs affecting the production system.- When there is an environmental incident potentially affecting clean water quality.- When risks appear during the production process that could affect clean water quality, or when required by a competent authority.- Periodically every 3 years from the most recent comprehensive test.
