Forum for Children scheduled during what timeframe?

On December 26, 2019, the Ministry of Labor, Invalids, and Social Affairs officially promulgated Circular 29/2019/TT-BLDTBXH guiding the organization of a children's forum.

According to the provisions in Clause 1, Article 5 of Circular 29/2019/TT-BLDTBXH, the children's forums are organized during the following time periods:

- The national children's forum is held at least once during the implementation period of the 5-year socio-economic development plan;

- Provincial, district, and communal children's forums are organized annually or once every two years;

- Other children's forums are organized when agencies, political-social organizations, social organizations, professional social organizations, educational institutions, and child protection service providers seek children's opinions on children-related issues or topics.

Moreover, this Circular stipulates that the duration of children's forums must be appropriate to the content and activities of the forum; ensuring that children have the opportunity to discuss and meet with representatives of agencies and organizations, and not affecting the health, study, and life of the children participating in the forum.

To be specific regarding the duration of children's forums:

a) The national children's forum is held for a minimum of 02 days;

b) Provincial, district, and communal children's forums are held for 01 day;

c) Other children's forums determine the duration based on specific content and conditions.
