Forms of Disciplinary Actions in the Ministry of National Defense

On November 26, 2016, the Ministry of National Defense issued Circular 192/2016/TT-BQP regulating the application of disciplinary forms, procedures, processes, time limits, durations, and authority for handling discipline within the Ministry of National Defense.

Depending on the position and rank, there will be corresponding disciplinary forms. To be specific: Circular 192/2016/TT-BQP stipulates as follows:

Disciplinary forms for officers and professional soldiers

- Reprimand;- Warning;- Demotion;- Dismissal;- Pay grade reduction;- Rank demotion;- Revocation of officer rank;- Revocation of soldier title.

Disciplinary forms for non-commissioned officers and enlisted soldiers

- Reprimand;- Warning;- Demotion;- Dismissal;- Rank demotion;- Revocation of soldier title.

Disciplinary forms for national defense workers and public employees

- Reprimand;- Warning;- Pay grade reduction;- Forced resignation.

Note: The violator may be temporarily suspended from work for no more than 30 days. In special cases with complex details that need clarification, the suspension may be extended but not exceeding 3 months.
