Recently, the Government of Vietnam has issued the Decree No. 90/2017/NĐ-CP on penalties for administrative violations against regulations on veterinary medicine.
Specifically, according to Article 29 of the Decree No. 90/2017/NĐ-CP of Vietnam’s Government, fines for violations against requirements for organizations conducting the testing of veterinary drugs are specified as follows:
1. A fine ranging from VND 4,000,000 to VND 5,000,000 shall be imposed on the person who is in charge of technical issues of the organization for failing to possess a veterinary practicing certificate or using an expired veterinary practicing certificate.
2. A fine ranging from VND 5,000,000 to VND 6,000,000 shall be imposed for any of the following violations:
- Have a location inconsistently with the planning for land use of local government or that is permitted by the competent authority;
- Fail to have the barrier or the wall to prevent the organization from being penetrated by outside people or animals;
- Fail to have a clean water source;
- Fail to have sufficient places keep animals so as to ensure testing results;
- Fail to have sufficient species or quantity of animals to meet testing requirements;
- Fail to arrange separate places to raise animals for testing purposes.
Besides, additional penalties are suspending the operation of the organization conducting the testing of veterinary drugs for 01 – 03 months if the violation prescribed in section 2 is committed.
