Recently, the Government of Vietnam issued Decree 117/2020/ND-CP stipulating the sanctioning of administrative violations in the field of healthcare.
Fine for failing to pay sufficient amounts payable of health insurance contributions in Vietnam (Illustration)
Decree 117/2020/ND-CP stipulates fines for failing to pay sufficient amounts payable of health insurance contributions according to the following levels:
- From 1,000,000 VND to 2,000,000 VND for violations below 5,000,000 VND;
- From 2,000,000 VND to 3,000,000 VND for violations from 5,000,000 VND to below 10,000,000 VND;
- From 3,000,000 VND to 5,000,000 VND for violations from 10,000,000 VND to below 20,000,000 VND;
- From 5,000,000 VND to 7,000,000 VND for violations from 20,000,000 VND to below 40,000,000 VND;
- From 7,000,000 VND to 10,000,000 VND for violations from 40,000,000 VND to below 60,000,000 VND;
- From 10,000,000 VND to 15,000,000 VND for violations from 60,000,000 VND to below 80,000,000 VND;
- From 15,000,000 VND to 20,000,000 VND for violations from 80,000,000 VND to below 120,000,000 VND;
- From 20,000,000 VND to 30,000,000 VND for violations from 120,000,000 VND to below 160,000,000 VND;
- From 30,000,000 VND to 40,000,000 VND for violations of 160,000,000 VND and above.
Additionally, a fine ranging from 10,000,000 VND to 15,000,000 VND will be imposed for acts of illegally obtaining health insurance payout.
