On December 28, 2018, the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development promulgated Circular 44/2018/TT-BNNPTNT on state inspection of food safety for plant-based food for export.
According to the provisions of Circular 44, the documentation for inspecting plant-based food for export includes the following materials:
- Registration form for the inspection of plant-based food for export;- A certified true copy or a copy and only to be submitted during the initial inspection registration of one of the following documents:- Certificate of establishment meeting food safety conditions for food production and business establishments subject to issuance of Certificate of establishment meeting food safety conditions;- Certificate of Good Agricultural Practices (GAP), Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points (HACCP), Food Safety Management System (ISO 22000), International Food Standard (IFS), Global Standard for Food Safety (BRC), Food Safety System Certification (FSSC 22000) or equivalent for establishments not subject to issuance of Certificate of establishment meeting food safety conditions;- Commitment to safe food production.- A copy of the receipt of the product declaration registration for products stipulated in Article 6 of Decree 15/2018/ND-CP.
