Female Members of Vietnamese Agencies Abroad Entitled to a Monthly Allowance of 5% of the Living Expenses

This is one of the regulations on allowance policies for members of Vietnamese agencies abroad under Decree 08/2019/ND-CP recently issued by the Government of Vietnam on January 23, 2019.

Policies on allowances for members of Vietnamese agencies abroad are prescribed by Decree 08 as follows:

- Ambassadors, Heads of Vietnamese agencies abroad authorized to concurrently undertake assignments in other countries or international organizations in other countries are entitled to an extra duty allowance as follows: Concurrently undertaking assignments in one or two other countries or international organizations in other countries is entitled to 15% of the base living expenses multiplied by the region coefficient; concurrently undertaking assignments in three or more other countries or international organizations in other countries is entitled to 20% of the base living expenses multiplied by the region coefficient.

- In cases where Vietnamese agencies abroad do not have enough members as per the approved staffing, members of Vietnamese agencies abroad authorized to concurrently undertake tasks originally proposed for other positions are entitled to an extra duty allowance of 15% of the base living expenses multiplied by the region coefficient.

- Female members of Vietnamese agencies abroad are entitled to a monthly allowance of 5% of the base living expenses multiplied by the region coefficient.
