On November 28, 2018, the Ministry of Finance of Vietnam issued Circular 117/2018/TT-BTC amending and supplementing Circular 279/2016/TT-BTC prescribing food safety and hygiene fees and collection, transfer, management and use thereof.

Circular 117 has amended and supplemented the regulations on food safety and hygiene fees and collection, transfer, management and use thereof, detailing the new fees as follows:

1	Evaluation of the dossier for registering the product publication for health protection foods, medical nutrition foods, foods for special dietary use, nutritional products for children up to 36 months of age	1,500,000 VND / time / product
2	Evaluation of the dossier for registering the product publication for mixed food additives with new uses, food additives not listed in the list of permitted food additives or not used as prescribed by the Ministry of Health	500,000 VND / time / product
3	Verification of imported food batches (Excluding testing costs):
- For regular inspection	300,000 VND / batch
- For strict inspection	1,000,000 VND / batch + (number of items x 100,000 VND, from the 2nd item onwards). Maximum 10,000,000 VND/ batch
4	Evaluation of the dossier for registration of rapid test kits for food	3,000,000 VND / time / test kit
