External Equipment of Ambulances Must Have Priority Signaling Devices

This is one of the standards for the external equipment of ambulances as stipulated in Circular 27/2017/TT-BYT issued by the Ministry of Health on June 28, 2017.

Accordingly, Circular 27 stipulates the standards for external equipment of ambulances that must be fixed, including:

- Having equipment to emit signals of vehicles that have the right of priority, including rotating lights or flashing red lights mounted on the roof of the vehicle, and a siren emitting priority signals. The issuance of permits for the use of signal-emitting equipment for vehicles with the right of priority is conducted according to the provisions of road traffic law;

- Having an information board about the unit using the vehicle, which is displayed on both the main driver’s door and the auxiliary driver’s door of the ambulance with a minimum size (height: 45cm, width: 50cm), meeting the following minimum information requirements:

- Logo of the unit using the vehicle (if any): Minimum size (height: 18cm, width: 18cm).- Name, address, and contact telephone number of the medical examination and treatment facility.- License number for medical examination and treatment activities issued by the competent state authority.
