Expansion of Hai Duong City; establishment of Tu Minh Ward, Viet Hoa Ward (illustrative image)

Decree 30/2008/ND-CP stipulates the expansion of Hai Duong City; the establishment of Tu Minh Ward, Viet Hoa Ward and the expansion of the administrative boundaries of Hai Tan Ward as follows:

- Adjustment of the administrative boundaries of the districts: Nam Sach, Gia Loc, Tu Ky, Cam Giang to expand Hai Duong City.- After the expansion of Hai Tan Ward, Ngoc Son Commune will remain with 483.32 hectares of natural area and 6,475 inhabitants.- After adjusting the administrative boundaries to expand Hai Duong City and establish the wards in the city, the natural area, population, and administrative units of the city and districts are as follows:

- Hai Duong City will have 7,138.60 hectares of natural area and 187,405 inhabitants, with 19 administrative units.- Nam Sach District will remain with 10,901.89 hectares of natural area and 118,040 inhabitants, with 19 administrative units.- Gia Loc District will remain with 11,181.37 hectares of natural area and 137,586 inhabitants, with 23 administrative units.- Tu Ky District will remain with 17,002.75 hectares of natural area and 168,790 inhabitants, with 27 administrative units.- Cam Giang District will remain with 10,895.34 hectares of natural area and 121,935 inhabitants, with 19 administrative units.
