Establishment of Xuan Hoa Commune-level Town and Van Dinh Commune, Ha Quang District, Cao Bang Province

On October 27, 2006, the Government of Vietnam issued Decree 125/2006/ND-CP adjusting administrative boundaries, establishing communes and commune-level towns in Ha Quang, Bao Lam, and Ha Lang districts, Cao Bang province.

Decree 125/2006/ND-CP adjusts administrative boundaries and establishes the Xuan Hoa commune-level town and Van Dinh commune, Ha Quang district, Cao Bang province as follows:

1. Establishment of the Xuan Hoa commune-level town under Ha Quang district on the basis of adjusting 3,395 hectares of natural area and 3,460 population of Xuan Hoa commune.

- Xuan Hoa town has 3,395 hectares of natural area and 3,460 population;

- Administrative boundaries of Xuan Hoa commune-level town: East borders Van Dinh commune, Keo Yen commune; West borders Quy Nhan commune and Hoa An district; South borders Phu Ngoc commune, Dao Ngan commune; North borders Truong Ha commune, Na Sac commune.

2. Establishment of Van Dinh commune under Ha Quang district on the basis of adjusting 1,203 hectares of natural area and 1,056 population remaining of Xuan Hoa commune; 853 hectares of natural area and 960 population of Thuong Thon commune.

- Van Dinh commune has 2,056 hectares of natural area and 2,016 population;

- Administrative boundaries of Van Dinh commune: East borders Thuong Thon commune; West borders Xuan Hoa commune-level town; South borders Phu Ngoc commune; North borders Keo Yen commune, Lung Nam commune.

After adjusting administrative boundaries, Thuong Thon commune remains with 3,004 hectares of natural area and 2,148 population.

At the same time, Ha Quang district has 45,367 hectares of natural area and 35,184 population, having 19 subordinate administrative units including the communes: Dao Ngan, Phu Ngoc, Na Sac, Soc Ha, Quy Quan, Truong Ha, Keo Yen, Lung Nam, Van An, Cai Vien, Tong Cot, Noi Thon, Thuong Thon, Hong Sy, Sy Hai, Ma Ba, Ha Thon, Van Dinh, and the Xuan Hoa commune-level town.
