Establishment of the Management Board of the Gratitude Fund at all levels in Vietnam from May 25 (Illustration)

According to Article 11 of the Regulations on Management and Use of the Gratitude Fund issued together with Decree 45/2006/ND-CP, regulations on the establishment of the Management Board of the Gratitude Fund at various levels are specified. The standing committee of the Management Board of the Gratitude Fund at each level includes the Head and Deputy Heads.

1. The Central Management Board of the Gratitude Fund is established by decision of the Prime Minister. The Minister of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs serves as the Head; a Deputy Minister of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs serves as the Standing Deputy Head; a representative from the Standing Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Central Committee serves as a Deputy Head; a representative of the leadership of the Vietnam Veterans Association Central Committee, Vietnam Women's Union Central Committee, and Vietnam General Confederation of Labor serves as members.

2. The Provincial Management Board of the Gratitude Fund is established by decision of the Chairman of the People's Committee of the province or centrally governed city (referred to as the provincial level), consisting of: a Vice Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee as the Head; the Director of the Department of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs as the Standing Deputy Head; a representative of the leadership of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee at provincial level serves as Deputy Head; and representatives from the leadership of the Veterans' Association, the Women's Union, and the labor confederation at the same level as members.

3. The District Management Board of the Gratitude Fund is established by decision of the Chairman of the People's Committee of the province or centrally governed city (referred to as the provincial level), consisting of: a Vice Chairman of the District People’s Committee as the Head; the Head of the Division of Internal Affairs - Labor - War Invalids and Social Affairs at district level serves as the Standing Deputy Head; a representative of the leadership of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee at provincial level serves as Deputy Head; and representatives from the leadership of the Veterans' Association, the Women's Union, and the labor confederation at the same level as members.

4. The Communal Management Board of the Gratitude Fund is established by decision of the Chairman of the People’s Committee of the commune, ward, or commune-level town (referred to as the communal level), consisting of: a Vice Chairman of the Communal People’s Committee as the Head; a communal official in charge of culture - society or labor - war invalids and social affairs serves as the Standing Deputy Head; a representative of the leadership of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee at the communal level serves as Deputy Head; and representatives from the leadership of the Veterans' Association, the Women’s Union at the same level as members.
