Establishment of the List of Residential Places in Ho Chi Minh City

Circular 13/2017/TT-BTNMT was issued by the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment on June 30, 2017, specifying the establishment of a list of residential locality names in Ho Chi Minh City.

Category of residential places, terrain, hydrography, socio-economic entities for the purpose of establishing a land map of Ho Chi Minh City is arranged in alphabetical order of the Vietnamese language for each group of geographic objects, including: residential, socio-economic, hydrography, terrain; commune-level administrative units, including: commune-level towns, communes; district-level administrative units, including: districts and rural districts.

In which:

- The "Location" column includes standardized locations.- The "Object Group" column provides symbols for location groups, in which: DC represents the residential location group; KX represents the socio-economic location group; TV represents the hydrographic location group; SV represents the terrain location group.- The "Commune-Level Administrative Unit Name" column includes the names of commune-level administrative units, where “P.” stands for “ward”; “TT.” stands for “commune-level town.”- The "District-Level Administrative Unit Name" column includes the names of district-level administrative units, where “H.” stands for “rural district”; “Q.” stands for “district.”- The "Relative Position Coordinates of the Object" column includes the relative position coordinates of geographic objects corresponding to the locations in the "Location" column; geographic objects represented on the map by point or area symbols use the coordinates in the “Center Coordinates” column; if geographic objects are represented on the map by line symbols, their coordinates are given in the “Start Point Coordinates” and “End Point Coordinates” columns.- The "Topographic Map Index" column provides the index of the topographic map at the scale of 1:25,000 or 1:50,000 containing the standardized location in the "Location" column.- Locations marked with an asterisk “*” are locations within the disputed area between Ho Chi Minh City and Ba Ria - Vung Tau province.
