This is one of the important contents specified in Circular 74/2014/TT-BGTVT on the regulations on archival work of the Ministry of Transport of Vietnam, issued on December 19, 2014.
Establishment of the Council for determining the value of archival documents of the Ministry of Transport of Vietnam (Illustrative Image)
In Article 9 of the Circular 74/2014/TT-BGTVT stipulates the establishment of the council as follows:
The Council for Determining the Value of Documents is established to advise the Head of the agency or unit in determining the retention period, selecting archival documents for submission, and discarding those of no value.
The Council for Determining the Value of Archival Documents is decided by the Head of the agency or unit. The composition of the Council includes:
- Chairman of the Council: Chief of Office of the agency or unit;
- Secretary of the Council: Officer in charge of archival work of the agency or unit;
- Members: Leaders of the unit possessing the documents, and individuals knowledgeable in the related field of work with documents needing value determination.
